Standards

The standards we work to

The promises above are easy to make. These are the practices behind them.

Dignity first

Nobody is asked to trade their standing for help. Requests are handled privately and described in the person's own terms.
Safeguarding

Activities involving children or vulnerable adults carry additional checks, named responsibilities and independent observers.
Privacy and data protection

We collect the minimum needed to arrange support, we say what we hold, and we do not publish anyone's circumstances without their agreement.
Financial accountability

Contributions received and passed on are recorded with receipts, so a donor can trace what their gift paid for.
Non-commercial by design

Nothing at a gathering is bought or sold. No contribution buys influence over who receives support.
Monitoring and review

We look back at what we did, at intervals, with people from outside the Foundation in the room. What those reviews find changes how we work.
